Why do women wear high heels?

Blisters, wounds, bruises, even back and knee damage and yet all of us girls collectively wear high heels. Have we gone mad?

Caroline Cox, fashion historian, style guru and author of “Stiletto”, said to InStyle:

"Not for nothing do we refer to stilettos as killer heels. These are shoes that blatantly contravene the original purpose of footwear: to protect the feet and aid mobility."

But hey, the kamikazes wore helmets, which makes even less sense than women in skyscraper stilettos.
